I filed the saddles 'sides just a tiny bit, mostly the black paint to keep the spacing between the strings and I rather filed the two sides of the bridge pool (or whatever we can call it). my 'original' Chinese bridge had the kinda snail gear which was a better quality but impossible to tune with naked fingers: I always needed to use the allen key which is inconvenient, slow and "where I have put that tiny wrench??", anyways.
