NOTA is our Right to Reject. NOTA means "None of the Above" option which enables the voter to officially register a vote of rejection for all candidates who are contesting. If a voter chooses to press NOTA it indicates that the voter has not chosen to vote for any of the party. In other words, it can be understood as the voices of dissatisfaction among voters who fail to align with the ideology or leadership attributes of any of the electing candidates. This is the first part where we have done state wise analysis of NOTA as well as we are comparing it with Lok Sabha Elections 2014 and presenting you with the data of highest number of NOTA votes in any constituency. In the upcoming related videos, we will focus our attention towards in-depth analysis of specific constituencies. All the big Parties like BJP, INC, JDU, RJD, SP, BSP, AAP, Shiv Sena, AIMIM, CPI(M), Kerala Congress, Akali Dal, MNS and among others were fighting elections, but a significant number of voters are trying to fight the prevailing democratic structure of the Contemporary India through NOTA.
