Austin Hackney's video: Horns of Elfland

@Horns of Elfland
I'm reciting one of those poems that I learned in childhood and never forgot. It's actually a short poem, "The Splendour Falls on Castle Walls" which appears within a longer poem entitled "The Princess." It's by Alfred Lord Tennyson. I always loved the rhythms and cadences, and as a child the idea of "The Horns of Elfland" and those echoes - almost more than the simple sounds resounding, but living voices from that other world - always enchanted me and blew me away. It still does! This poem is now in the Public Domain. My interesting blog is here: http://austinhackney.co.uk and you can buy my books here: http://amazon.com/author/austinhackney
