Austin Hackney's video: Faerie Folk - Up the Airy Mountain Down the Rushy Glen

@Faerie Folk - Up the Airy Mountain, Down the Rushy Glen.
William Allingham was a customs officer in his native Ireland until, in 1870, he became a sub-editor for "Fraser's Magazine." He was a friend of Rossetti and the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Whilst he never obtained the adulation and praise accorded to many of his contemporaries, his verse is plain and strong and worth speaking aloud even now. This particular poem, "The Faeries" has been widely anthologized and is now in the Public Domain.
