I went skydiving to reset my brain's reaction to fear of unexperienced situations. Our brains trick us into believing that breaking our comfort zones will bring chaos and discomfort. It magnifies simple actions and progress into a massive, fearful unknown. Therefore, we never want to break that comfort zone and try new things. The best things in life are often hiding behind these barriers of false constructs and untested assumptions. In order to reach them, we are forced to take something the subconscious mind is certain about and disprove it. In doing so, we are looking at things as they are, and not building mental roadblocks around them before actually testing the reality.
