Austin Schrock's video: I gave up on hustle culture how to ACTUALLY get results

I once subscribed to hustle culture, and it nearly ruined my life. Hustle culture is a mindset that encourages hard work allegedly in the pursuit of glory. In one sense, hustle culture can look appealing, because it promotes hard work and motivation, but it can also bring severe consequences. Hustle culture works, if our goal is to get more done. By emphasizing efficient work (getting a lot done in a short amount of time) over effective work (doing things that specifically take us closer to our goals), hustle culture may lead to mindless performance with no real goal. Hustle culture says that effort equals results, which equals success; therefore, more effort equals more success. If we are not experiencing success, hustle culture says that we are not putting in enough effort. However, the world is not this simple. There are many that work hard all their lives and never experience massive success, but attribute that to their supposed lack of work, and work harder. This perpetual cycle causes burnout, which can cause permanent damage. Rather than pushing against the massive pile of work we could do, here are three steps to help us choose what work is necessary to achieve our goals. (1) Apply systems and productivity. This helps us to streamline our work and makes it easier for us to work. (2) Apply pull power. This isolates what exactly is necessary to accomplish to achieve our goals, and does that.
