Austin Schrock's video: Feeling overworked Try doing this

@Feeling overworked? Try doing this
Ever wonder why no matter what you do, you're always busy? It is easy to consider busyness to be a form of productivity. In the process, we become proficient with performing efficiently, or performing our given task in the most economical manner possible. This efficiency, however, does not automatically mean that our busyness is effective, or taking us closer to our goals. Focusing strictly on efficiency makes us trick ourselves into thinking that being efficient and constantly busy are what really matters. There are four principles to keep in mind in deciphering what is pointless busyness and what is an effective use of time. First, doing something unimportant well does not make it important. What we do is more important than how we do it. Secondly, requiring a lot of time does not make a task important. Thirdly, being busy can be a form of laziness, lazy thinking, and indiscriminate action. Being busy for the sake of being busy, or so that we can feel better about ourselves, will not bring any lasting change for the better in our lives. Lastly, burnout can cause permanent damage. Being aimlessly busy for an extended period of time without clear direction or goals will inevitably bring burnout, which can require months or years of recuperation. It is helpful to remember that busyness is a choice: we are only as busy as we allow ourselves to be. We are always capable of cutting back if we truly want to, even if it means revising some goals or putting others on hold. The best filter of what is aimless busyness and what is essential is clear goals. Viewing our schedule through the lens of our goals sheds clarity on which opportunities presented to us will help us attain what we want. 1-month free skillshare - https://skl.sh/3psK0sG Website - https://www.austinschrock.com/ Mind Castle Podcast - https://spoti.fi/3ptCzla My gear: https://kit.co/AustinXrepto (Scribd) Free Month of Unlimited Audio Books - https://www.scribd.com/g/5p1h4u Thanks for stopping by my channel where we focus our energy on self-improvement, productivity, and making the best possible versions of ourselves.
