Hero motorcorp has announced the launch of the BS6 Glamour in the Indian market. The base variant (drum brake) of the BS6 Glamour is priced at Rs 68,900 while the premium version (disc brake - 240mm front) is available for Rs 72,400. The styling cues on the BS6 Hero Glamour aren’t very different from the old (BS4) motorcycle, although there are a few noticeable changes. The front fascia, for example, now features a smoked-finish to the pilot lamps. The side and the rear panels, too, are noticeably different from the BS4 motorcycle. Hero MotoCorp will offer the BS6 Glamour in four colour options – Radiant Red, Techno Blue, Tornado Grey and Sports Red. The Glamour continues to draw power from a 124.7 cc air-cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder, OHC motor. However, the engine now comes with XSens programmed fuel-injection technology, and generates 10.73 hp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm, and 10.6 Nm peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine continues to be mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
