Every now and then, Ferrari produces low volume, special edition models, which are perhaps even more incredible than their series production offerings! In 2001, Ferrari introduced to the world the 550 Barchetta - an open top version of their brilliant 550 Maranello coupe. Only 448 examples were made + 12 prototypes. These cars were worth about CDN$600,000 when new, and are still fetching the same coin! Ten years later, Ferrari brought out the 599 SA Aperta - which was an open top version of the 599 GTB Fiorano. Only 80 examples were made, which makes these extremely rare! They've proven to be a tidy investment, too, because because while these sold for roughly CDN$550,000 when new, these are worth quite a bit more than $1-million now! But, which would you rather have?
