Aviation with Jeff's video: Final Delta Air Lines Boeing 777 Takeoff N701DN LAX Plane Spotting

@Final Delta Air Lines Boeing 777 Takeoff | N701DN | LAX Plane Spotting
October 31, 2020, about 5:40 p.m., Delta Airlines 9977 took off for Victorville. This Boeing 777-200 LR, registered N701DN, had arrived from New York JFK a few hours earlier. This would be the final takeoff ever of a Boeing 777 for Delta as they officially retired their 777's. It was an appropriately beautiful sunset for this wonderful plane. This plane had operated routes such as Atlanta to Johannesburg, South Africa. It's been a difficult 2020 in aviation due to Covid devastating the industry. We've seen several airlines retire some planes due for retirement sooner than anticipated, such as British Airways and KLM retiring their Boeing 747-400s or Air France retiring their Airbus A380s. On a local note, earlier this month I saw JetBlue's final scheduled and revenue flights from Long Beach before moving over to LAX. I flew in a Delta 777-200 once. I took it when I moved to Guam in 2016 so this plane has a special place in my life story. I hope you enjoy today's special time seeing a Delta 777 takeoff from LAX into retirement.
