Avoriaz Alpine Ski School's video: Project Portes du Soleil - INTRODUCTION

** PROJECT PORTES DU SOLEIL ** Hiking, skiing and filming 10 prize lines in the Chablais this winter. With the Covid pandemic going on and on, Brexit thrusting a rusty shaft through our economy and climate change overshadowing our future, times are pretty uncertain and the lifts remain closed. Our options for work and play somewhat diminished, we remain eternally determined to make the best of the situation. Unlike in the spring lockdowns, ski touring is allowed in France, so we're going to make this a winter to remember. Similar to Cody Townsend's 50 project (watch the awesome Youtube playlist if you haven't yet) I'll be choosing 10 of the prize peaks and descents in the Chablais to tour, hike, ski and film - an episode for each adventure and a film to sum up the whole project. So watch this space and enjoy the show, a reminder of how beautiful these mountains are and (I hope) some inspiration to get you out there enjoying the uphill as well as the down.
