Avyris's video: Drawing in Photoshop CS4- Step off

You know how artists in The Lion King fanbase like to take anime, tv show and movie characters and turn them into lions from the TLK universe? I've recently found that somewhat silly, to be honest, especially when people then turn around and claim these characters to be totally original. But I used to that a lot when I was but a wee artist myself, so I decided to revisit it by giving myself a very specific, and rather interesting challenge. I decided to lionize myself. I tried to be as literate and accurate to my physical appearance as possibly could be, without doing anything that looked... out of place on a lioness (such as my favorite hat or my ponytail). I don't think I really captured myself very well so, moving right along, I chose someone else to accompany me. Yup, you guessed it. Muh Kaykay bb. Her lion self looks much better/more accurate than mine, so she sort of salvaged this piece. She even designed the lion for me, colors and all. Was pleased about that. I might go back and re-do my lion in the near future, as this was a very fun challenge for myself. Plus I can always use the big cat practice. Decided to name them Jioni and Hawa, because I like naming things. My OCD gets pissed off when I call things by arbitrary names. LION CUB 1, JEW LION, THAT ONE THING OVER THERE ... hate doing that. Hawa belongs to Kaytothelink because I would not feel right claiming something that is technically her. x3 Jioni and the artwork are mine. I am not the first and only person to do this, so don't think I'm trying to claim the entire concept. x3 Just the artwork people, chillax.
