Everyone has watched those shows on TV and have thought about what it would be like to survive in the woods. I like to take it one step further and have embarked on several solo survival adventures. Alone on Vancouver Island, I test my survival skills built upon a knowledge base of bushcraft and camping, so call it bushcraft survival. Bringing limited gear and creating different survival scenerios each time, I go out to see what I can do alone in the wild. I'm not an expert and I have lots I can improve on. Each time I do a survival challenge I try to better myself and allow myself to grow. Most of us learn best from doing and I like being thrown in the deep end. Here are my experiences.
