BGswimming's video: Battle of SwimBritain

@Battle of SwimBritain
On Saturday 17th May, three teams of elite GB swimmers from England, Scotland & Wales went head-to-head in the Battle of SwimBritain. Each team consisted of four swimmers, with each swimmer completing a 250m leg of our SwimBritain course. There could only be one winner, and England eventually came out on top in a very tightly fought contest, clocking an impressive time of 11m 28s for their team's collective 1000m. Hot on England's tails were Scotland who came second in 11m 35s, with Wales third in a time of 12m 10s. There were also new course records over 250m for both men & women, with Scotland's Robbie Renwick clocking 02:42, beating last year's record - set by Chris Walker-Hebborn - by an impressive 9 seconds. England's Aimee Willmott set the new women's 250m record, with an equally impressive time of 02:54 - beating the existing record by an astonishing 26 seconds! If you'd like to take part in SwimBritain, there are events taking place across Britain this August & September. For more information and to sign up, visit swimbritain.co.uk.
