BIG Cares's video: The Power of Video for NFPs

Hi, I'm Brandon Evertz, cofounder and CO of Big Review TV, and I'm here to talk to you about the power of using video for non-for-profits and about a recent partnership with GoFundraise. Back in 2015 when we started BIG Cares, we looked at how difficult it was for non-for-profits to share their stories. We wanted to help charities. We wanted to give back. Recent studies show that 57% of people that watched a video about a non-for-profit made a donation, whereas 39% looked up the relevant charity to donate. Seventy nine percent of donors surveyed by Google said that online video ads were the most influential marketing they've been exposed to. If you're targeting millennials, well, 60% of millenials would rather watch your video than read a newsletter. But that's not all, BIG Cares has now partnered with Australasia's leading digital fundraising platform, GoFundraise, a platform which released one of the lowest-cost ways to donate in Australia. Anyone can raise money, with big dreams and little budgets. The GoFundraise platform has been used by over a million Australians with 1,800 active clients, and if you're one of these users, you can have more tools up your sleeve. The power of video is incredibly important for charitable organizations, not only to share your story but to connect with donors on an emotive level.
