BIG Cares's video: Why video for NFPs

We use video as a tool for fundraising to really bring our story to life. Alexandra: It's a great way of fundraising particularly in raising awareness for the brand of the foundation in general, including showing it at universities when we make presentations, opening our website, sharing on social media. It's much more fun and a big way of raising our brand. Amanda: We can really get across a broad range of ideas, and thoughts, and concepts that we may not be able to do with writing. Alexandra: It seamlessly has just fit into all our events and run so smoothly. And then we have this wonderful tool at the end that we can use as a marketing tool. Fiona: The videos that we produced with Big Cares have all been amazing, and it's just great to see a business model that is set up to support not-for-profits. Amanda: Recently, we've been working with Big Cares to develop new videos and moving into that space so that we can reach potential audiences. So when we compare our methods of fundraising or even getting out to our community, I think that video really has a much bigger impact. Dianne: Working with a partner like Big Care who helps us shape and tell our stories in clear and compelling ways, in a really cost-effective way, is just pure gold for not-for-profits like the YMCA and many others. Fiona: We're all about telling stories. We're all about making a difference in this world. And we you can actually see that and feel it through video, it's so much more powerful, and I think it will be a part of the work we do for many years to come.
