Save A Horse Australia Horse Rescue & Sanctuary was established in 2001 and became a fully registered not for profit organisation in 2009. In 2016 we became an Incorporated Association and changed the name to Save a Horse Australia Inc. Our purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome neglected, abused and slaughter-bound horses. We currently have two properties providing sanctuary and rehabilitation for just over 100 horses, located in Buccan and Tarampa in south-east Queensland, Australia.
