BJ Gaddour's video: Sled Training Montage Shorts

@🛷 Sled Training Montage #Shorts
This year I'm prepping my body to be able to sprint again before my 40th birthday. So I invested in this magnetic resistance sled from Torque Fitness to train my gait. The resistance is internal so the weight plates are there just to steady the wheels. I did 20 minutes of continuously alternating between backward drags and forward pushes. The distance for each was about 20-25 yards. Backward Drags are amazing for lower quad development & knee health, especially when you get the toes under or behind the knees. Forward Pushes are a fusion of single-leg squats & mountain climbers for gait training, hip flexor activation & complete lower body development. I used a 2/2 rhythmic breathing tempo for both moves: inhale through the nose for 2 steps then exhale through the mouth for 2 steps. I like to mix up the tempo & the stance-width on drags & pushes. Going barefoot is extra challenging! For the pushes, level-change - or going between high, medium & low positions - provides the best results. When it comes to sled training, low-man wins! You can also play with straight or bent-arm positions. Sled Training is concentric-only, meaning it has no eccentric or deceleration forces. So it's easy on the joints & hard on the muscles. It's also the most legit breathing workout you'll ever do.
