Many working women in the Gulf region today are faced with numerous challenges in their corporate environment. In her talk, Jehan will define the concept of "Career Capital" to inspire women to think about how they can evolve by building skills, gaining new experiences and expanding networks. Jehan will draw on her experience, leading marketing and communications for some of the world's largest multinational firms and will explain how having autonomy, aspiration and perseverance in the long term are key to building a successful career. Jehan's interest and passions revolve around her desire to communicate with others. With a diverse career that includes being the first female editor-in-chief of a magazine in Saudi Arabia. She founded and led the Kingdom's first Saudi-based technology and business magazine as the managing editor of CIO Arabia. She lead the communications, public affairs and media relations for San Francisco-based networking solutions provider Cisco across several emerging markets, and she has managed the marketing activities for US-based technology company Oracle Corporation's software division. When she's not in the office, Jehan spends much of her spare time supporting other Gulf national females through sharing her experiences and insights; she is often invited to talk on why women in the Gulf should take up a career in the private sector and advises on how to steer and maximize their performance in the light of cultural challenges facing them. Today, Jehan is proud to work for Accenture as the head of marketing and communications for the Middle East region.
