Unsound Sound's video: Guitar Lesson: Chords with Open String Drones in standard tuning

@Guitar Lesson: Chords with Open String Drones (in standard tuning)
In this lesson, I demonstrate examples from 1980s rock and pop music that have chord passages with open string drones (in standard tuning). I do not teach any song in its entirety because the idea is to encourage experimentation with this kind of technique. The examples include: 0:04 Something I made up 2:47 Siouxsie and the Banshees, "Israel" (Intro) 4:34 The Cars, "Magic" (Pre-Chorus) 6:00 Def Leppard, "Hysteria" (Verse) 7:00 Rush, "Spirit of the Radio" (Verse) 8:06 The Police, "Murder by Numbers" (Verse) 9:19 Cyndi Lauper, "Time After Time" (Interlude) I played them on a modified Fender American Standard Stratocaster through a Fender Supersonic 22W combo amp. The effects I used include a Keeley Compressor, a Hartman Flanger (analog), and Electro-Harmomix Neo Clone analog chorus, a Boss CE-5 digital chorus, and a Line 6 DL4 delay.
