Unsound Sound's video: Intro of Mean Street by Van Halen

This is just me noodling on the intro to "Mean Street" from Van Halen's "Fair Warning" album. Sorry about the sound quality, but my computer is just not good at picking up hyperloud stuff -- and you have to crank it up to get the sound. I played it on my Fender American Standard Stratocaster which has a red lace sensor in the bridge and middle positions. I have the tremolo locked down because I don't normally use it and I don't normally play Van Halen much. The amplifier is hardly VH material either -- a silver face Twin Reverb from the 1970s that I put through my pedal board, but I only used an old Boss ME-6 for distortion and a touch of echo....I add some flanger for fun at the end. I am not interested in recreating the "brown sound" -- I just wanted to record this while I could do it. (I learned it so that I could make a transcription of it for some research I am doing.)
