Her excuse was that she was strengthening her child's lungs, and that if she did not do this it would be detrimental to the child's health. When the baby was born underweight and premature, Wilcox said it was "just a coincidence". Number Two: Brittany Hill was a new mother but just could not see herself being able to raise this child, so she did what any other mother would do. She decided to put her baby up for sale, for a measly 4000 dollars, which really is a very low price for an actual human being.Someone called about the offer, but when they learned that no lawyers or legal documents were involved, they reported her to the police. Number Three: A mother was arrested for pressing a hot clothing iron to her daughter's face. Twice. Her reasoning was that the child messed up when reading a book, which is apparently a good reason to burn your child's face. The child went to school with burns on her face, and child services caught wind and managed to catch the mother and remove her from the child's life. Number Four: This is one I have never heard of before, and it involves a dungeons and dragons style sword fight between father and daughter. One father wanted to punish his daughter. He did so, not only by beating her, but then challenging her to a duel with wooden swords. Their fight lasted around 2 hours before the poor 16-year-old girl passed out from exhaustion. The parents were tried for their crimes of child abuse. Number Five: A rather popular story, a South Korean couple was arrested for abandoning their 3 month old child. They left the child at home, starving, so they could go to an internet cafe. The weirdest part of the story is that they went to this internet cafe to take care of a virtual child instead of their own. Number Six: A young Indonesian child named Ardi has stunned the world in recent years, after it was found out that his mother turned him on to smoking 40 cigarettes a day, before he was even 10 years old. It started when the mother would give the child cigarettes in order to calm him down when he was a baby, but the habit stuck. He has since moved on from the cigarettes, but has turned to a new vice: junk food. Number Seven: This woman was charged with selling her daughter's sexuality. She was strapped for cash, and decided to sell her daughter's virginity for $10,000. The mother's boyfriend became suspicious when he stumbled across text messages from her to the potential buyer, and alerted police Number Eight: What good are kids for, anyway, if they can't even drive the car when you're drunk and tired? One man decided to let his 8 year old child man the wheel of the car because he was simply too drunk and tired to finish the trip himself. Luckily, no wrecks happened and the police were alerted. Upon interviewing, the father apparently had a very good nap. Number Nine: There was a couple who was arguing in the parking lot of a store, and they had brought their child with them. The arguing led all the way to the car, and they both ended up driving away in separate cars. Where's the baby? Well, they accidentally left the child at the store. Luckily someone noticed the child and it was unharmed. Number Ten: One mother in Florida noticed her daughter was having trouble with another girl at her school, and decided that they should fight their troubles away. The mother facilitated the fight at her home while a bunch of other kids gathered around to watch. The fight was posted on the internet which tipped off police to arrest the mother on accounts of child abuse. Number Eleven: Sarah Burge, who considers herself a real life barbie, is known for her extravagant boob jobs. Apparently, her daughter wants in on it, too, so her mother gave her a $10,000 boob job voucher that she can use when she is 16 years old. The daughter cannot wait, and in the meantime, is getting pole dancing lessons from her mother. Number Twelve: We've all had to deal with car payments, whether they're new or used. One mother did not want to pay for her car, and decided to exchange sexual favour from her daughter to the salesman as payments. They eventually pleaded guilty, and all received jail time. Number Thirteen: Sometimes, when you're drunk, you make mistakes. It's normal, and has happened to almost everyone. But when you leave your baby in the oven, that is crossing the line. One man proceeded to get crazy drunk and high one night, and for whatever reason, decided that the oven was the best place for the child. Luckily, the oven was off and opened a little bit, so the baby was fine. The father called a mental health hotline and had the baby removed from his custody.
