This house was owned by Kong Phrosila Kharshiing who passed away in the year 2007 Aged 105. Her daughter, Kong Banis Kharshiing now lives here.. The house is located in Pdeng Shnong, Mawphlang, a village in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, India. It was built 86 years ago by one Bah Jenn. It took 5 years to build. It was constructed with Dieng Wah wood which is soaked in water for years after which the wood becomes as tough as steel.
