In June, 2018, four climbing friends and I formed the “Ecuador 2018 Expedition” for a second "Quest to Touch the Sun." On Tuesday, June 12, we departed from the Refugio Nuevos Horizontes at 5 a.m. for the summit of Illiniza Norte. After just over 3 hours of scrambling we reached the top at 16,817 feet at 8:20 a.m. Join us for some incredible scenery shot with a chest mounted GoPro Hero 5 camera. Enjoy!
