Colored pencil portraits. Working on blurry background. PART ONE This is a quick video (Part One) on how I used watered down acrylic paint layers to make a blurry background for my commissioned wedding portrait. The actual portrait was completed using Luminance colored pencils by Caran D'Ache. The background needed to be blurry and out of focus and this is an alternative way to achieve that without having to bring out my air brush. It was a small 8 x 10 painting and this application of paint worked and achieved the look I was going for.
