This 15 minute guided meditation is suitable for everyone Grab a pillow and a blanket, find somewhere comfortable to lay down, close your eyes and relax. Because of the recent lockdown happening around the world, we have to find new ways to teach our children. I work in a Primary School, where I give weekly guided meditation sessions to Early Years, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. I don't read from a script, I just make it up as I go along. The adults enjoy the sessions just as much as the children. The children are encouraged to create a relaxing space for themselves and light a candle (battery operated). At the end of the session they repeat positive affirmations, which always includes the words "I love myself". So, as the majority of the children are currently being home-schooled, this is my way of helping them and their parents/carers through what may be stressful times. I thought it would be lovely for the children to still hear my voice, creating a tiny bit of normality for them. We are all learning together. A lot of families are having to learn how to use a computer and access school resources, and I'm learning how to create meditation videos, which was a huge learning task for me.
