“Should the UK Leave or Remain in the European Union?” A month prior to the historic June 23rd vote, a debate on this question was organised by Barter Books, the well-known secondhand bookshop, and attracted a large overflow crowd. The debate was between Anne-Marie Trevelyan, Conservative MP for the Berwick-upon-Tweed Constituency, who argued for Out, and Julie Pörksen, spokesperson for the Liberal Democrat party in Northumberland, who argued for Remain.
