BeautyFoodTips's video: Matera through my eyes V L O G 1 Beauty Food Tips

Matera is located in a remote corner of southern Italy in a small region, called Basilicata next to the more famous Puglia. Matera is famous for its ancient sassi (stone houses carved out of the caves and cliffs). Many of its ancient dwellings are only caverns, and the streets in some parts of the Sassi often run on top of other houses. The ancient town grew up on one slope of the ravine created by a river that is now a small stream. The ravine is known locally as "la Gravina". Matera is the only place in the world where people can boast to be still living in the same houses of their ancestors of 9,000 years ago. I wanted to share with you its breathtaking beauty in this brief vlog. I hope you'll enjoy it and appreciate the effort I've put into it. As it comes a lot more naturally to me to speak italian (as this is the language I speak every single day) the vlog is in Italian, but no worries, there are subtitles available so that you can easily understand me..
