Secunderabad to Tirupati Vande bharat superfast express was launched by honourable Prime minister Shri Narendra Modi ji along with other dignitaries on stage at platform no. 10 of Secunderabad junction. 02701 was the inaugural run and it took almost 10 hours to reach Tirupati with many halts enroute so that people can witness Vande bharat rake a unique trainset completely made in India. Regular run of Vande bharat is expected from 9th April and numbered as 20701 / 2. It will cover 662 kms run in 8 hrs and 30 mins with an average speed of 78 kms per hour. Halts given are Nalgonda, Guntur, Ongole and Nellore. This train is the fastest connection between Hyderabad and Tirupati and is expected to get good patronage as it brings down travel time by three hours.
