In this episode I try my best to photograph birds in what could be considered as an urban woodland, specifically I am looking to photograph the beautiful Jay. Whilst in the urban woodlnd I spend lots of time waiting for the perfect photo and by doing so I encounter many other animals including grey squirrel, nuthatch, magpie, coal tit and the magnificient Jay. I am using the Canon 7D MKII with the 100-400mm mk ii lens. Bird photography is tricky in the wild but keep an eye out around the places you vist the most like I have done here. This is where you will be able to get the best out of bird photography by learning what happens where in your local patch. spend some time laying in one spot and see what lands right in front of you! Bird photography is an amazing experiance, one I hope many others will enjoy. As a wildlife photographer it is very important to me, to keep focused on the animal I am photographing, and that means I have to keep my eye on the viewfinder and my finger on the release button. All the camera settings need to be done without looking. By changing some of the Canon custom settings I am able to work much faster and more efficient with my Canon 7d mkii & my 100-400mm lens. In this video I'm showing a little insight into what it takes for wildlife photographers to get the perfect shot.
