After getting word the previous evening, H26 would have to haul sixteen loaded steel cars out of the Coatesville Steel Mill and back west to Lancaster. We got to Coatesville around 7:00AM after getting word that they would be stopping at the Strasburg Railroad first. So I thought what the heck and we drove out into neighboring Lancaster County to Leaman Place Jct. We would get to Leaman Place and wait about only twenty minutes until H26 showed up and dropped off one hopper for the Strasburg Railroad. Sadly I was hoping someone from Strasburg would pick it up but that did not happen. I then got word on my scanner that H26 would be okay east after an Eastbound Keystone Regional. After the Regional past they pulled out onto the main and headed east. After beating it to Coatesville I thought I got a little confused and thought I could grab it at CP-THORN right near SEPTA's Thorndale Station. I got there and was informed that the H26 power went back west towards Coatesville about five minutes after I got there. So I got back in the car and we headed back to Coatesville. We got there right after they went down the huge hill to the interchange. After shoving around the cars they got the okay uphill. They first tried to get uphill and to no avail they stalled out. So they backed down the huge grade and tried again. H26 tried again and was giving it all they got but still was no match for the heavy steel. So they backed downhill and talked about what they would do with the train. They eventually cut the train into two sections and took them up with two cuts. The H26 was rolling west on the Keystone Line way later in the afternoon that day. Anyway, sit back, relax & enjoy! As always Thanks for Watching!
