Benjamin Mackenzie's video: OH SNAP IS THE THE PHONE GRIP THAT DOESN T SUCK

UPDATE: I've had issues with getting the grip to stay attached to the back of my iPhone. After contacting customer service, I found out that they've discontinued most of the colors of this first version of the grip. I'll be patiently awaiting the second generation, and am hopeful that they've made some improvements. If you can grab one cheap, snap one up, otherwise wait for version 2. ----------------------- If you’re on Instagram, I can almost guarantee that you’ve seen an ad for the Oh Snap phone grip. Aimed at competing with companies like pop socket and others, the Oh Snap case features premium materials, but with a premium price tag. Is it worth it though? Here are a few of my initial impressions: - The grip feels very premium and comes with some very minimal packaging. - At the current sale price of $19.99 it seems like a good value (at first anyways, more on this in in a minute) - The full retail price of $34.99 (in my opinion) way overshoots the market trend of grips priced around $10-15 dollars - The grip claims to work on a naked phone (which is how I prefer to carry my phone), but in my experience the grip’s adhesive DID NOT WORK well on the back of my iPhone 11 Pro. It would stick for a few days, and then all of the sudden it would just release itself from the back of the phone, leaving me to try and catch my now loose, and unprotected phone. - Overall I think that the concept is great, but that the execution leaves much to be desired. - Currently, they’re working on version 2 of this grip, which I’m hoping has a better adhesive, and an easier to use design, but those won’t ship until October 2020. Overall score: 3.5 Stars out of 5, mostly based on the quality feel of the grip, but 1 star for actual usability. --------------------------------- Hi and welcome to my channel!
