Dr. Ryan Gustafsson is a podcaster, researcher, and writer, based at the University of Melbourne. A Gemini, reluctantly so, whose gender journey is ongoing, identifying as queer young, with gender expression and identity beginning much later, and recently became a non-binary uncle. Trained in continental philosophy (phenomenology) and social theory, they conduct research on Korean transnational adoption, transracial adoptee lived experiences, migration, and diaspora. Ryan is co-founder of the Philosophies of Difference (PoD) group and the Korean Adoptee Adoption Research Network (KAARN). They also co-produce podcasts on Korean adoption and trans experiences.
