Tonight, Greer McGearey speaks with Jocelyn Bishop, who at the age of ten, realised things were not as they seemed. In childhood, happily enjoyed being and playing with girls, did not get being a boy, and that something of just being myself was freaking out others. After the experiences of primary school, especially those towards the end of grade six, buried it all, made a conscious decision to present as a boy, make friends with other boys, and tried to do guy things, which began years of acting out a heteronormative male role, in a performative manner.
