Estelle Keerthana is a PHD Student, in Public Health, at the School of Health and Social Development at Deakin University, who is the first Transgender Person to be awarded a Deakin University Post Graduate Research Scholarship from across India. Host Ricki Spencer, a Trans Sociologist, asks what are the realities of living in India, beginning from when you realise you are trans, the hardships experienced by those who came before, how things have changed, what still must be improved, what milestones have been achieved in recent years, and what is the quality of life like for those wishing to live in India as Trans in 2022.
