How lucky I felt to be a part of the release of hundreds of soft baby turtles in Los Barriles, Baja California Sur, Mexico. These baby turtles are gathered up in nests from La Ribera up to Los Barriles on the East Cape of Baja California South, Mexico. The nesting sites are organized and managed by a non profit organization called Grupo Tortuguero with Omar and Noe Araiza. This is to help increase the chances from the previous %1 survival rate of sea turtles. (Over the course of 2013 Summer-Fall program more then 27,000 baby turtles were released.) We wish the little creatures a safe and long journey.
