New runners have been setting records over the last ten years and in this video I explain the entire history of 'Obtain Diamond, Random Seed Glitchless, No Structures'. In my opinion, it's the most interesting category out of the 4 possible 'Obtain Diamond' speedruns. The original strategy of obtaining an iron pickaxe to mine for diamonds has now become obsolete thanks to the luck-dependent creeper strategy. Instead of completing runs at upwards of 2 minutes, it's possible to complete them in under 20 seconds. I should also note that this video features a run that was disqualified by the moderation team. It goes without saying, but please refrain from seeking out to harass the person behind the run. This run was actually on the leaderboards for ten months before it was looked at once more, which is why I still included it in this video instead of ignoring it. Thank you and enjoy the video!
