Best Sydney Parks's video: Nice little park tucked away for locals - Discovery Point Park - Wolli Creek

Another well looked after park at Wolli Creek right on the cooks river. It has no parking on the pricess highway so you need to turn into where the large Woolworths and Dan Murphy's and park somewhere along the street. There are BBQ facilities and a few picnic tables so you can grab some meat at woolies close by. Closest toilet is at the Cahill park across the Princess Highway. There is a small fenced Childrens playground next to the BBQ area and plenty of grass for ball games. There are 2 heritage listed buildings, Tempe House (1830s villa) & St Magdalenes Chapel. These can be hired for various functions. The footpaths change from pavers, bitumin and even small pebbles which winds around the park. A section of the park, Mt Olympus is lanscaped with Australian Native bush and shrubs. The only problem with this park is traffic noise from the Princess Highway especially around the picnic tables and childrens playground areas. Still worth a stroll if your happen to be in the area.
