The Palmetto is a Manhattan variation that swaps the whiskey base for rum. I enjoy the heck out of this drink, but I don't see it on many menus. It's fun to trying out different rum/sweet vermouth combos. Palmetto 2oz rum (Plantation Barbados 5 year) 1oz sweet vermouth (Dolin) 1 dash Angostura bitters 1 dash orange bitters (Angostura) Add all ingredients to a mixing glass. Add ice and stir. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange peel.
