Africa’s first Airbus A320neo has been delivered to Air Seychelles on 01 August 2019. The aircraft is on lease from CDB Aviation and is a unique first for the Indian Ocean island nation. Air Seychelles new A320neo is named “Veuve” after the most critically endangered bird commonly known as the Seychelles Paradise Flycatcher.  ▪︎A320-251N▪︎ Air Seychelles▪︎ D-AUAR▪︎ S7-VEV▪︎MSN 8972▪︎ The aircraft delivered to Air Seychelles is powered by two LEAP-1A26 engines from CFM International. According to a press release from Airbus, the A320neo is the world's most advanced and fuel-efficient single-aisle aircraft.  S7-VEV sports Air Seychelles latest inflight entertainment system “seyStream”, a WiFi device that will allow passengers to use their own electronic devices to access a wide variety of free TV shows and movies. Air Seychelles newest addition landed for the very first time in Mauritius on 06 August 2019 as flight HM49/ SEY049 at 13:00hrs MUT/GMT +4.
