Color blocking 101 Start with a primary color i.e. red, yellow or blue and add either analogous colour i.e. color next to it or a complimentary color i.e. color opposite to it. You can either add one solid colour i.e. black,white, grey to keep a balance or if you don’t want to risk it or go all out with colours. You can either pick a monochromatic scheme i.e. colors from the same color family or an analogous scheme i.e. colors next to each other or a complimentary scheme i.e. colors opposite to each other or pick one of each element.
