It gets hot in Dallas Texas in the summers and some of my hives seem to get hotter than others based on where they are located (shade wise). I believe the bees can cool themselves enough as we have three ponds near BiancoLand however I figured I would give Queen Ann a little help. I wanted a migratory lid because it would provide better ventilation however I didn't want to put cinder blocks on top because it does get windy here. The telescoping lid would prevent the lid from being blown off so I created my own hybrid which I call the Migratory Telescoping Cover or the Telescoping Migratory Cover.
