Mark completes the series A Trial Lawyer's Brief on Biblical Law: A Reflection of God’s Character with Chapter 8, Old Testament Laws in the “Get Along” Bucket. In this lesson Mark teaches on the final bucket of Laws – the “Get Along” laws. Mark first looks at the concept and meaning behind the Laws because they served important civil purposes for Israel, and like all the Laws, they were to help the people of Israel understand the need for and prepare them for the Messiah. The Laws were also designed to bring order to disorder. Next, Mark discusses what the Laws reflect about God’s character, because the trinity is an expression of unity; God wants complete peace and harmony for his people. Last, the “Get Along” laws, are a guide as to how we treat others; 1 Peter 3:8 “Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind”.
