I've been driving thousands of miles a year away from bodies of water that I've fished all my life in search of something new to explore for a decade. Being gone that much has created a dynamic I wasn't expecting. What was familiar has now all changed, and I find myself exploring old haunts from a new perspective.
I'm finding that "new" each trip out, and it's been awesome. I firmly believe our public bodies of water in Southern California are the most challenging in the country. Even though fishing can be very tough, embracing the suck has allowed me to be appreciative of every bite and every day I spend on the water.
Seeing familiar faces on the water has been great, make sure to say hello if you run into me 👊 shoutout to my little homie King and his human @jimmy_nsx who's been supportive of my DREAM since day 1. Hit him up to book a guided trip if you're looking for a dope human to hang with and learn from!
