Sustainable CAPE's Truro Agricultural Fair, 2018 Sustainable CAPE's Truro Agricultural Fair is a toe-tapping, old-time community event. At the center of the fair is the Harvest Market where folks peruse and purchase fresh and locally harvested food, including honey, lobster, Eastham turnips, clams, oysters, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Additionally, baked goods, chai and coffee, sea salt, cheese, pasta, beef, pork, ice cream, crepes and more will be on display and for sale. Flowers, herbs, wool and a plethora of old fashioned crafts and games round the day out. The Harvest Contest, Barnyard Beauty Contest, Pie-Baking Contest, Kids’ Pie-Eating Contest and the Zucchini 500 Contest are lowkey competitions that bestow blue ribbons on talented winners. Bluegrass and fiddlers play all day from two stages. Foodtrucks abound. The fair is free and open to the public. . Photos by Bill Charette
