I had a bunch of old caulking tubes around the shop so I made up an air cannon to launch them out into the field. The cannon has a 64" barrel that fits the tubes very well, 3/4" 120VAC solenoid valve, 2 litre air reservoir and handheld firing switch. I am using 120 psi shop air in this video. The cannon can take up to 350 psi. The tubes are quite durable and can be recovered and fired again.
