Sultry Lola Albright stars as a dying woman who is the test case for a new panacea – a serum that can cure anything. Sadly, for Lola, and for the world, this serum was like a loan shark who gives money with one hand but takes it back with the other, along with sky-high vigorish! Seven years after she appeared in this little viewed 1951 episode of T O T, Miss Albright had a star turn as the smokin’ hot singer Edie Hart, the girlfriend of private eye Peter Gunn. She appeared in all three seasons of the hit show. Tales of Tomorrow was the first dramatized showcase for several authors, including Arthur C. Clarke. Other early science fiction writers whose work was reflected in the series included Frederic Brown ("The Last Man on Earth" and "Age of Peril"), Philip Wylie ("Blunder"), C. M. Kornbluth ("The Little Black Bag") and Stanley g. Weinbaum ("The Miraculous Serum").
