Dhumba Lake rests on the base of Mt Nilgiri, Gharpajhong Rural Municipality, Mustang, Nepal. The Lake has a historical importance, and is at an altitude of 2,840 metres. Mount Dhaulagiri and Tilicho Peaks can be viewed from this site. The Himalayan Times's reporting of 16 October 2016 says, "Due to the destructive 25 April earthquake, water level in Dhumba Lake in Thini, Jomsom-9 is decreasing. Water in the Lake is gradually leaking out through cracks made by the earthquake, locals said."
