BIONIC AL's video: I MET ANOTHER AMPUTEE THROUGH YOUTUBE

HEY EVERYONE! DONT JUDGE ME! I met a stranger from my videos. That stranger happened to be Joey, 19 years old who had been trying to get in touch with me for a few months. He's a recent single amputee (below the knee) due to a motorcycle accident. The amputee help networks did some good, but so did the power of social media. He was able to watch my channel amputv / alex schwartz and see what I could do despite being a double amputee. This aided in his decision to amputate his leg after his motorcycle accident instead of opting for 'limb salvage' which involves months and months of ongoing surgeries and far lower quality of life, typically. I also met 'Adaptive Jim' with who helped get me out there! It was the NEXT DAY i flew to Dallas, Texas from when I first talked to Joey. Spontaneous amputee meetup to say the least. It was an amazing time being able to meet a viewer that I had an impact on. This is the reason i make these videos because the same thing happened to me, not when i was first amputated (i was only 1 year old) but when i was 20 and lead to me finally meeting another amputee for the first time. So I make these videos to help other amputees and at the same time show a peek into our world.
