A fledgling dove begs daddy for food, frantically flapping and running after him, whistling its begging call. When it (he/she) is not chasing him around the baths energetically, it loiters on the ledge and waits for him. A pigeon chick is called a squab. Only pigeons, flamingos, and some species of penguins feed their young with milk from their crop or esophagus.
